Just one swing tbh. It cut off a Nuke level being.. Doomsday>Thanos in durability 43%
2 should be enough 6%
More than 5 7%
It can't, Stormbreaker>Sword of Athenna and Thanos is too durable. 8%
The sword breaks when touch his neck. 36%

Endgame Thanos vs BvS Trinity

Supes distracted Thanos, Batman shoots from the distance, makes him vulnerable for a moment as Diana steps in for his head.

@goldeneagle:

1st of all, they are channeling that high amount of energy into small objects in that video. Not a skyscraper. That is going to be much harder to heat up. Second of all, the main lightning blast was not even touching the building. Those were just the small sparks.

The Chrysler Building has more metal and lightning has many times the amperage. The metal still no-sold it.

You also overlook the fact that the lightning is supposed to be 27,000 degrees Celsius by itself and was coating the metal. It still did nothing. An oxyacetylene cutting torch will burn through steel almost instantly and it is only 3,480 degrees Celsius maximum.

The entirety of the cladding was coated in lightning.

Wtf is wrong with that poll? Thanos wank strikes again.. smh. Diana sliced him up in one move

She was not even able to pierce Steppenwolf's armor. The sword would not do anything.

I mean, it's not like anything weak has pierced Steppenwolf's armor, that's just a feat for the armor.

@gangorca: Superman was able to melt right through it and damage it by punching it.

And? That's not really usable for evidence of Wolf's piercing resistance, so overall that's a feat for Superman.

The Chrysler Building is massively bigger than that small amount of metal. This is all irrelevant anyway when you take into account. Thank you for the video though. It is really cool.

You also overlook the fact that the lightning is supposed to be 27,000 degrees Celsius by itself and was coating the metal. It still did nothing. Again, that was not the main lightning. They were basically sparks compared to the main one.

@goldeneagle:

Not at all irrelevant. The metal no-sold something that should have turned it red hot just by being near something that hot for that long, let alone conducting it. Thus, Thor's lightning is not that hot and different from natural lightning. You have failed to provide any counter to this.

Again, that was not the main lightning. They were basically sparks compared to the main one.

So "small lightning" is colder than "big lightning" now? That makes no sense.

@gangorca: Thanos is far more durable than Steppenwolf’s armor as he would be able to take no harm from Superman’s punches unlike with Steppenwolf’s armor.

@goldeneagle: But that still doesn’t mean anything about piercing durability, which Steppenwolf’s armor has shown high resistance towards.

His armor tanked the trident and the sword when Steppenwolf without the armor was easily getting pierced by both. On the other hand, Superman can punch holes in the armor but not punch through Wolf himself, meaning the armor is more resistant to piercing than blunt force.

0. Shockwave and air pressure of the sword moving will already send Thanos' head flying off

I dont know who's dumber. the alt troll. Or the people who know that he's an alt troll and still keep debating him as he says things like

"Thanos is far more durable than Steppenwolf’s armor as he would be able to take no harm from Superman’s punches unlike with Steppenwolf’s armor."

hes literally not even trying and hes making you all look stupid. He's literally saying the dumbest most bait shit possible with literally no arguments and you all still keep responding likes hes gonna go read your post and go

well damn youve changed my mind....thanos dies.

Theres no need to wonder why a clear alt troll has almost 700 post. I saw another with 7000. 7000 posts and literally his entire photopage was filled with photoshopped memes of thanos killing superman and 4chan memes. Some of you make these trolls look like geniuses and I think to myself....Maybe you all deserve each other.

@notthegodmadara: That was an illlusion. The Russos stated that it would take something on the level of or Stormbreaker to actually harm him.

So the lightning on the Chrysler building has very little energy because of it's size?

@TheGrat1: Yes. Considering it is not as big or dense as the main one.

That is the size of Thor's normal lightning.

Loading Video...

It is the size of the lightning he used to try and destroy the Aether. To defend himself from the Aether. To attack Malekith with. To help melt Ultron. It is the size of the lightning that comes from his cloak.

You are basically saying that all but three lightning blasts (Chrysler Building, Sokovia, Ragnarok) have very little energy because of their size. So little it can not harm mundane stainless steel.

@TheGrat1:What are you trying to prove here? The main lightning bolt did not hit the building. When he shoots lightning at something it is going to be destroyed. The lightning that he was channeling his powers into did not touch the building. It melted the Leviathan armor that could not be destroyed by any human tools as revealed in Homecoming.

@sagathelegend: Are you serious? The sword would not even penetrate his skin. Maybe the first layer if you want to be generous, but chances are, it will not.

I do not need to rewatch the scene. I am the one who posted it.

Thor calls down his lightning from the sky with Mjolnir for 10 seconds. He uses the Chrysler Building like a capacitor or battery to hold the excess lightning so that he can let out a longer and larger than normal burst. When he fires the bolt you can see it travel back up the stainless steel cladding to Thor as he discharges the blast. The building was covered in Thor's lightning. Just like his hammer is, just like his body is in Ragnarok. That is what happened and the stainless steel completely no sold it.

What are you trying to prove here?

You said "The star was certainly not only 50,000 degrees or Thor would get burned every time he used his lightning."

I proved that Thor's lightning is not the same as natural lightning as it has failed to do things that normal lightning can (heating up steel) and succeeded in doing things that natural lightning can not (amping striking power).

Even IF we accepted that Thor's lightning was just as hot as the real thing it would not work because the star beam needed to be 50,000 Kelvin and natural lightning is only 30,000 Kelvin. Either way you accept it being unharmed by his own lightning does not prove that he will be unharmed by something that is 50,000 K.
