Thanos still wins. As the Russos said, he is unbeatable in a one on one physical fight.

NLF lol and a Russo statement, we know the track record of those.

OT: Thanos still has better feats and should win solidly.

@goldeneagle: Scarlet Witch could overpower Thanos and it's confirmed by Feige she would kill him if he didn't call for help. So this statement was proven wrong.

Do to Avengers 1 it's a very quantifiable feat. There are plenty of calcs, I just don't remember the number

I checked out what he linked and it was from a person called Kepekley23 who revised his calc to around 7 Teratons.

Could be higher, but yeah, that surface area is nowhere near lowballed anyway.

Matthew Schroeder says the minimum emissivity is 0.92 after a certain temperature, I also vaguely recall DontTalkDT saying that, but the DontTalkDT showed up and said:

Hmmm.... did I say that? If so I perhaps overgeneralized.

For stars and star like objects this should be true (as they are approximately black bodies apparently), but it shouldn't hold in general. As I learnt recently the emissivity of the plasma in a fusion reactor, for example, is on purpose made small through some means or another.

Then Kep said:

For black bodies, emissivity is not necessary, I believe, since it's ~1 by default. We can calculate the radiation with the temperature, area and the Boltzmann constant alone.

I am not sure what is the conclusion.

@goldeneagle: Unbeatable to the Avengers maybe, but not to everyone.

In a physical fight do you think Thanos can take on a celestial?

OT: Thanos has better feats, he wins.

Even though if we take speed into count Ikaris should win, but somehow he was being tagged by deviants so I don't see why not Thanos could tag him too.

I think Thanos wins this one. I don't really see Ikaris being able to take too many hits from him, but I'm sure Thanos can take a good few hits from Ikaris. They both seem to be about Island level, but the scenes of Ikaris being pinned down by the Deviant makes me lean a bit more in favor of Thanos due to the Deviants not seeming very impressive

Uhhh, who's gonna tell them that they are measuring the energy needed to have the Tesseract undergo nuclear fusion, NOT the force needed to crush the Tesseract?

OT: Ikaris seems way too fast depending on how well he scales to Makkari. And if his cloud feat is something he could do without a flying head start, he casually one-shots (besides that feat, it's the other way around).

Sorry sir, but having high temperature resistance doesn't reflect normal force strenght.

Somehow particle accelelators can generate temperature on lvl of 10^15 K and i don't believe PA in Cern in Switzerland has Country level durability including materials/constructs building it.

It's feat for cube it can resist nuke lvl temperatures

ikaris hear vision isn't impressive, can't on shot deviants, i think mj lighting stronger than that.

and lower strength and durable than gil, and gil dosne't have a feat stronger than hulk.

his only better than thanos is he can fly, that's all.

@yunobogoro1: Crushing the Tesseract,

resistance to high temperature isn't resistance to mechanical attacks.

destroying Vibranium

combined with organic matter as Dr Choi said. Chemistry... you know .... 😉

and withstanding Infinity Stones is "shit"?

It was only said to be power to light up continent aka power just to power it up ( 540 000 000 000 Watts ) being roasted badly in process

Ikaris stomps for now, Thanos can't hurt him. If he wants to, he could easily fly Thanos to space in 1 second and leave him there.

If not, he stays in the air, keeps his distance and blast Thanos until he drops.

Tbh Ikaris' power level is all over the place, much more inconsistent than Thanos feats-wise.
